Nasties Rugby
Nasties Rugby
As the saying goes it has been quite a while between drinks for many of the nasties. Whilst we returned home in style via the ferry it is also fair to say we returned home battered and bruised too.

Below follows a selection of quotes and post game analysis as to the general health and well being of the team members.

Adam Law started the post match press conference "However I think there should be a special prize for those who had to travel south of the Spit Bridge afterwards" said Law, pointing to his extra travel arrangements, although a toilet stop wouldn't have been

necessary for him after he watered the flowers at the bottle shop in Empire bay.

Scott Dalton was quoted in a delirious state talking about "Craggy Chins" and "Nurses wiping dribble" it must have been the panadeine fortes he took for his calf strain.

Hawko hasn't risen from his bed yet and was unavailable for comment. Special mention needs to be made of Sean P, Sean posted his after match comments at midnight long after every other nasty was in bed. Well done Sean.

Boyo was woken periodically through the night with a nice mixture of cramp, shoulder spasms and the unforgettable feeling of an open wound sticking to the bed sheet and slowly having to be pulled off. At 4am the pain became too bad and his day started there and then.

'Pup' Walsh managed a magnificent 13 hour stay in bed and in his own words "Couldn’t get comfortable. Have to drive to Ryde now for a meeting with ASUS – Jean’s taken the automatic vehicle – have to take the 14 year old manual – murder!"

Mike King was magnificent in his outlook, planning his working week out nicely and played the game as it should be "can you please write me a medical certificate for the week!! (and I did nothing more than watch the game from the backs)".

Deak has decided that aromatherapy is the way forward and needs the number of a "Swedish massuse", not too sure what Mrs Deak will think of that but hey, it's on the net now.

Ray Howells is looking to shed some light on a disturbing incident post match "I am two inch's shorter!!" proclaimed Ray, Mrs Howells is also keen to find out why her beloved is now in this position.

Stavros is showing a level of fitness that suprised many and is quoted as saying "I hurt marginally less than after that sand running stuff", nice work Stavros. Tim Bentley is still jogging on the spot on the Avoca 22.

Paul Hawke was last seen shoving two lolipop sticks up his nose trying to straighten it before he got home. Trent being a prop was quoted this morning whilst running on the beach "no amount of pain is enough", Damien could not be contacted on the Island. Jamie, Mike S, Justin and Dean were all too busy maybe next time.

Last but not least Skip Mcgrath, Skip today drove to Oberon and Back. Well done skip.
