Nasties Rugby
The main social event on Sydney's Northern beaches has closed out The Newport Nasties season for 2008.
A glittering array of [local] stars frocked up nicely, invited some friends and danced away well into the night.

With the sound of the surf lapping the beach club President Hawko welcomed us all and encouraged fun and frivolity. A magnificent slide show by Shane Law set the standard for the night with many ladies visibly moved by the images (in a good way).

After some food and music we moved into the main event of the evening namely the prize giving. The awards lined up as follows:

Best Pig: Adam Law
Best Back: Dean Guberina
Players Player: Jeremy Beynon
David Hawkins Clubman award: Michael King

From there on in the night became unsurprisingly raucous, some successful auctions more fun and dancing (some with their awards).

A final game of touch rugby commenced in the hall before a bus trip home saw all tucked up in bed safely.

Well that is it for 2008 Nasties. Onwards and upwards in 2009.
