Another Sunday session under the tutelage of Hawko (pictured) provided the nasties with the Physical contact they have long been looking forward too.

As always nice to see new or familiar faces at training, welcome back Skip McGrath (pictured on the charge below).

Skip, showed that two weeks in South Afrcia hunting White Rhino's has diminished none of his enthusiasm for the Nasties cause. A special mention also need to be made for Justin Burgess' effort in attending training on his wedding anniversary. This is the sort of commitment that some nasties can only aspire too. Well done Justin.

Training as usual got underway with some good warm up stratches and some decent shuttle runs. Unsuprisingly that shut up the more talkative members of the club.

Some good ball work, followed by some warm up work on the tackle bags. Skip, showing the way forward was hitting the bags at an alarming pace. The tackle bags were relieved when time was called.

Then it happened, live tackling. There were forwards fairly skipping into position at the thought of what was to come. Tackles were practised from behind, in front and side on, repeated and repeated there were bodies flying everywhere. Some real mis-matches in size and in particular weight were overcome with ease.

Well done to all, the good news is that we all escaped injury free from this lunatic event!

Normality was restored and some team runs on the largest pitch in world rugby ensued, we threw the ball left, the right, then dropped it, picked it up again and carried on.... a heap of fun.

Onwards and upwards with the Newport nasties, the adventure continues with training Thursday 7pm @ porters.
