Nasties Rugby
Nasties Rugby
The sons of some Nasties rugby players, the Newport U7 Dolphins showed their Dads how the game needs to be played at Rat Park pitch number 3 on a perfect Autumn morning.

The Dolphins in the first match of the season came away with a hard fought draw with the Harboard Harlequins, unlike their fathers the lads played with pace, with some committed goal line defence coming into play also.

Both teams played well and more importantly in the true spirit of Rugby.

There were moments of contention, first half referee Vince may need to take some counting lessons from young Jake after failing to stop on 10 taps on more than one occassion.

Some benchmarks have been set for the year ahead, young Finlay setting his dad Adam a tough task to beat him in the try scoring charts for the season. Jesse Wayling and Oscar Bentley by turning up have both shown their team commitment to be way ahead of their fathers (Japan and work are simply not acceptable excuses).

Ricky crossing in the corner gives him bragging rights for the season no matter what Jeremy Manages to pull out on the field.

No doubt the Dads from the other Newport U7 teams will be able to relate the similar stories at training.

Well done to all the Dolphins. Remember training times are listed on the website for all you Nasties.
