An enthusiastic group of around 20 Nasties turned out for the final training run at the Doggy Dome last night in preparation for Sunday's Eastwood Gala Day.
The night began slowly with a game of touch football to get the players warmed-up. Plenty of tries and pace were on display through Mita, Chef and Sin-Bin. This however was an llusion for what the players were about to be put through - tackling practice.

2009 Eastwood Gala Day
With the league boy's having lazily left tackle bags lying on the park, Skip and Tink thought it was a good idea to put them to good use. In an awesome display that would send shivers down some of their opponents, the Nasty Players were relentless in there pursuit of hitting the tackle bags at pace. In total each player putting on at least 70 tackles on the hapless bags. "that was awesome....." enthused a tired looking Pete Johnno. It was then onto a team run with Tink leading the way. All up a great night of training.
All players need to be at T.G. Milner Fields at 9am for preparation of a 9.30am kickoff. So far indicated there is only Pup and Gaven playing in the forwards with TTE moving to halfback and Skip and Notso making up the rest of the backline. It would be great to get a contingent of 25 players at the ground.
