BROKEN NASTIES TRAIN WITH BREAKERS PDF Print E-mail

A select bunch of Nasties (those not broken by Sunday’s Hawkesbury Gala Day) attended a fun session that saw us warming up with the Newport Rugby Club (The Newport Breakers) as a whole and then working with the 3rd & 4th grade teams

Congratulation's must go to Pete Jonno for backing up from Sunday and almost being able to bend over and pick up a ball. He was faced with the decision of continuing in the forwards during training, or moving back to the backs. When considering the enormity of such a decision he was heard to say, "I just don't know which way to swing, ... it's so confusing. Just like puberty all over again!" Sadly he decided to have a rest and go with the backs.

Meanwhile, Pesty was on fire and during a final team run through with the Colts he is believed to have disembowelled 3 of them and torn the head off the half back. When asked why, he simply replied he was just having some fun and it was all in good spirits (Glad I'm on his side). Frank Elsworth was like a man possessed out on the wing and although as quick as most of the young pups, was unfortunately undone by the artificial lighting. He did though make a superb catch from a big pass that flew out to the wing from a desperate half back. The rest of us Nasties did our club proud and showed how treachery and cheating could be incorporated into the modern game to benefit the experience of their team and give some wild stories in the bar later.

See you all next Thursday, 6.45pm, Avalon!
