The Northern Beaches Night-Of-Nights, the much anticipated annual Newport Nasties Black Tie Ball (BTB) arrived where the fashion stakes were high. Many of the wives and girlfriend’s (Newport Nellies) posing to be snapped by the world’s paparazzi who were in a frenzy to gain the best photo’s from the night. “The Girl’s all do look stunning and deserve the attention” commented Committeeman Troy ‘Skip’ McGrath.  

After a light meal the formalities of the Night, the Annual Award Presentation got under way with much excitement. The night’s award winners were:

“Rookie Of The Year” – Colin Scott

“Best Back Of The Year” – Adam Peate

“Best Pig Of The Year” – Darren ‘TTE’ Vaux

“Player’s Player Of The Year” – Darren ‘Flynnie’ Flynn

“Clubman Of The Year” – Justin ‘The Hoff’ Burgess

Congratulations to all the winners. It was then onto the dance floor and some bidding on the auction items that were on offer. The night once again proving a huge success before finishing with Dimmy and Flynnie closing the famed clubs doors in the early hours of Sunday Morning. It is now onto the 2010 season which will culminate in the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival in Sydney.  

Onwards & Upwards.
