NASTIES PREPARED FOR WORLD RUGBY FESTIVAL
The last official training run of the Newport Nasties 2010 Season was held last night in front of a capacity crowd at the Doggy Dome. Some dazzling running was on display for all to see as the excitement of playing in next week's World Festival draws closer. "The parade should be fun....." Gaven Sheehan commented as he led his troops through their final training run. The Nasties Bus, which will be unveiled on Sunday, will chaffeur the elite players to the Parade and Games each day. "It is going to be absolutely Huuuuuge....." shouted Skip McGrath to his players. The Bus will be leaving Hitchcock Park at 1pm on Sunday for the trip into the City for the Parade.

SUNDAY TRAINING RETURNS

An enthusistic group of 10 elite Nasties fronted the first Sunday Morning training run for a while in preparation for the week-long World Festival beginning next Sunday. Coach Mojo took the players through almost an hour of a gruelling series of sprinting excercises at Hitchcock Park. It also marked the return of The Hoff from his winter hiatas with son, Lachlan joining in. "That felt great, now I'm off for a bike ride....." enthused Hoff to his teammates.

2010 WORLD FESTIVAL JERSEY PRESENTATION

The Doggy Dome was brought to life last night where thousands of spectactors lined the oval to watch their local heroes, the Newport Nasties train in preparation for the 2010 Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival in Centennial Park in 10 days time. An enthusiastic group of over 30 players trained strongly in the cool conditions as Coach Mojo took them for some stretches before finishing with a convincing team run. "We couldn't be looking any better....." Pete Johnno told the waiting media.
