The Newport Nasties have now completed their third season as a club with its pinnacle being competing in the recent World Ruby Festival at Centennial Park in Sydney. Newport RFC has a strong community based ethos and the majority of our players are resident on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The club has in excess of 150 registered players and officials, and we pride ourselves in the fact that we are one of the most successful clubs in the NSW Suburban competition.

The Newport Nasties arrived at Centennial Park yesterday full of anticipation for their match against the New Zealand 'Stuffed Hawks' team hoping for a good contest. What they found was their match had not only changed field but changed teams. The Nasties were now to play the current World Rugby Masters Gold Medallists, The Mosman Whales. "That is fantastic. I don't think we will be playing in the board shorts as planned" Sean 'Gunner' Gartner told his teammates.
